Leo’s Food Bus
About This Spot
Nestled along the sun-kissed stretch of Market Street in Victoria, Leo’s Food Bus invites a gentle pause from the island’s steady rhythm. This casual takeout spot feels less like a typical food truck and more like a small sanctuary for those craving a simple, honest meal by the beach. The lively hum of conversation mingles effortlessly with the distant rush of waves, creating an atmosphere that’s both effortlessly relaxed and warmly inviting.
Leo’s doesn’t rush you—it matches the laid-back pace of Seychelles itself. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite in between adventures or settling into one of the handful of tables looking out over the sparkling water, the experience is quietly comforting. There’s a sense of familiarity here, the kind that makes you want to come back again and again, drawn by the feeling of a good meal paired with ocean breezes.
The food reflects this balance—simple, satisfying, and deeply rooted in local flavors. It’s less about extravagant presentation and more about moments: the crispness of freshly fried shrimp, the tender bite of fish that tastes like it was pulled right from the sea that morning, or the generous portions that leave you pleasantly full without fuss. Each dish, whether it’s spicy or mild, fast food or something a little more hearty, feels thoughtfully crafted with everyday enjoyment in mind.
Beyond the menu, what makes Leo’s special is its blend of casual ease and honest value. It’s a gathering place where travelers and locals alike meet, drawn by food that suits the island’s vibe—unpretentious, friendly, and satisfying. Here, meals come with the backdrop of open skies and the mellow pulse of island life, creating a simple pleasure that’s easy to savor.

It’s a food truck- for the price it’s very good tho - had fish steak with rice two times during my stay, the portion was big and there were two big fillets. You can grab it with you or eat at one of the tables overlooking the beach. Recommended if you’re looking for a quick bite in the vicinity.

I will not be over exaggerating saying that I would fly from Europe for some Leo's shrimp with fries. The best fast food shrimp dish I have ever had.

Within the area and for the fast food it was really good. We tried restaurants and still have been coming back here. Really cheap too.

Our experience with local takeaways during our stay at Seychelles was good, so we did not hesitate when searching for another one after move from LaDigue and Praslin to Mahe. This one is definitelly the winner in Beau Vallon area. We ate here daily and never got anything less than awesome food. Do not be scared of the look of this little "food bus". I can recommend the tuna steak as well as the fried praws and if you like it a bit spicy, let it get sprayed by the orange Sriracha like sauce! Try it and you will understand there is no need for fancy restaurants. You can also pay here by card which is great.

Probably the best takeaway we had in Seychelles. I highly recommende the fish fingers with chips combo or the spicy fried prawns. Fish fingers are made from tuna chunks, not minced meat so you get a good value and protein filled meal. All at a great price (100SCR). Cards are accepted as well.
